I loved this place!! This is like going to your grandma's type feeling when I ate the food. The ambiance was cozy and the type of place you go to if you want to relax, take your time to eat and talk. It is owner run and it looks they are doing multiple jobs at the same time so be prepared to NOT be in a rush. She was a wonderful host. I felt like I was at a friends home not a restaurant. Everything I ate was cooked from scratch and the seasoned well. The tea was loose leaf tea drawn which I loved. I have never eaten Burmese food so I can't tell you if it was good to that standard but, it was good to me. We were the only ones in the place at the odd time we went but, the food tasted like it s...

We drove all the way to this restaurant today as it has been on our list of Asian restaurants to try. The restaurant was relatively quiet during lunch time on Friday and has two signs telling customers that they are short-staffed. So we were prepared that we wouldn 't be served immediately, even though there were only three tables with guests in the room. We waited for 20 minutes with no one coming to take our order (all the other three tables all had their food served). Then, I asked the lady at the reception to take our order. She didn 't even bother to listen to me and kept saying the food is coming . We even didn 't order anything, how come the food is coming? I told her someone had to t...

We didnt even have a chance to taste the food but we wouldnt give the business to this owner. We came in as a party of 9 on Sunday around 11:30am. There was completely empty as it just opened, but we had to wait for 30 mins without any help. There was no water not any check in even though there was no one else. When we politely came to find the owner/waiter to take orders, she DID roll her eyes and asked us to wait since she was busy with a take out order. She did not even say sorry or explained any situation. Then we decidedAsian Pumpkin Curry to leave even though we were hungry and had small kids. The owner saw us leaving and just said You guys can leave and you don 't have a chance to eat...

I spotted this place and in between Lucketts, where we had spent the afternoon, and home in DC, so we gave it a try. We had a reasonable dinner here but this place does not rank with Mandalay Tea leaf salad for appetizer was fine; Nancy tried the three layer pork salad, which was pork belly and vegetables; she found it too spicy (the menu did not label it as spicy), and I found the pork belly too fatty. I rank it as OK. For our mains, I had the chili chicken, which was flavored nicely, just chicken slices with no vegetables. Nancy had rangoon noodles, which were a tad bland but that was what she wanted. They have wine and beer, but no list of those the choices were the two standard Indian be... We have been regular takeout customers for the past 5 years even during the pandemic since there is no where else where you can trust the hygiene of food preparation. We always order the tamarind curry, green curry, golden mountain noodles, fried tofu and summer roll for our family. Ms. Jona is always smiling and her food as we tell her feels home cooked along with its bold flavors.

Exceptional spot for wonderful Burmese delights. The restaurant is operated by 2 sisters who do it all (wait tables, cook, serve and take phone orders), so be patient and get rewarded with a delicious meal. Our third dinner continued our craving to go back again and again. Enjoyed each wonderful flavor combination from the curry coconut sauces to a superb fermented tea leaf salad.

I love all their dishes I tried, especially Chili Chicken is my favorite. The employees are friendly but their service is kinda on slow side but food makes it worth the wait! Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20
