Really torn on this place. We got 3 meals and it was very mixed reviews.The fried shrimp is beer battered, we were not expecting that and would have ordered something else if we had known. The greens and cornbread were not that great, flavorless. Mac and cheese was pretty bad no one ate more than a bite. Coleslaw was awesome, a different spin on it was good. I will never return to this place. Waited 2 hrs. for 4 dinners and the whole time I waited it was only 4 orders ahead of me. After ordering mac-n-cheese was told an hour later that is was gone and I could wait another 45 mins for a new batch. I declined and switched to greens instead. I asked if the greens were fresh or canned and the owner proudly gave a 5 min. speech about how he would never use canned greens. About 1 hour later we received our order after being continuously told it would be right up. The food was terrible! All four of us tasted our dinners and then threw it out. The customer service here is terrible. I called ahead of time to place an order for pick-up, and whoever answered the phone asked me to call back in 15 minutes. I call again in 15 minutes he says the same thing, but then suggests that I come in to place my order, as that’d be much quicker. I finally decide to go to the restaurant to place my order (2 turkey chop dinners), and when I got to the window to order, someone asks if I placed already (which I had not). I told the guy I was placing, and he simply walks away without saying anything. I finally get my order placed, the guy tells me 25 minutes. I waited over an hour for two turkey chop dinners. Not to mention, “Victor” had a poor attitud...

I tried the fried chicken from this restaurant and it was worth the visit. Seasoned well and without all the breading and extra fluff to fool people, the taste and juiciness of the chicken shows the cook's skill.I would definitely pay another visit, this time to check out the beef short ribs. I'm inclined to pay it forward for someone else and I hope you would be too.

The food is very good and reasonable. The staff is friendly and attentive. I've been there several times and always had a pleasant time. The atmosphere is also a friendly positive vibe. I will say, depending on the day and time, it could be a bit of a wait. However, it's worth it.Food: 5/5
