We stumbled upon this hidden pearl of a restaurant by chance on our trip along country lanes in Haseldorfer Marsch. It sits on top a dyke that shields the countryside from the river Pinnau. Surprised we were at the gourmet quality of the dishes: As...it was an early lunch, I had skrej with mashed potatoes flavoured with horseradish, served with beautiful and tender vegetable julienne. He had stint pan-fried small herring fish. Delicious! And the place is a real beauty, too. Weather permitting, you can sit on the terrace and enjoy the view. Wines seem to be very good, too always a telltale sign when the white-wine spritzer is as pleasant as mine was. We will definitely go there again.
my friend and I ate here today and we were very impressed. the atmosphere is nicely cozy. beautiful view over the river sheep of the country of march. it brought back childhood memories when I spent with my parents time in the haseldorfer marsh. very good choice. the meal. our dishes tasted amazing. the Dessert-Yummy too. the service friendly and helpful. really a nice restaurant. hopes for many more visits here at visit deutschlands. thank you.
I was in the Aal-Kate for dinner just after xmas. A very nice maritime atmosphere; typical northern German interior. The place was packed and it seems to be a popular place. Service was friendly, but unfortunately very slow. The starter and main course I ate...were nothing special. The desert was good.

amazing eating beautiful interior design very good service beautiful view. can highly recommend this restaurant. was here often as a child with my parents, but moved a long time to england. the first time here after about 50 years! still a great restaurant....Good to come when they visit Germany.
each visit in hamburg must have a visit in the Aal-cat. I have visited many paintings in the course of the years and eating is always top notch. beer is cold and the service is friendly and efficient. had never had a bad experience. will be back.
we had a birthday dinner here, but we are actually a bit disappointed by the service that was slow but friendly. the dishes are typical of the opposite, but the court we have chosen was swimming in fat that it is not amazing.
very beautiful ambience, restful in the beach basket or on the chair observe the past flows Pinnau and observe the grassy sheep. The whole thing with a cool glass of white wine and fish. Not anymore

We had a nice lunch outside, overlooking the water. Service very friendly, a bit slow maybe, it was a busy Thursday. The Turkeysteak was good. The Roastbeef far too overdone.
