I visited this place two days in a row. The first day was nice. The coffee here is very good quality and the interior is beautiful with books all along the walls. The service here is very ordinary. The people working here seem to care more about speaking with each other than actually putting the customers first and serving them. The second day I went here, I sat down and the waitress asked me what I would like. I asked for a cappuccino. She nodded her head and said ok. 30 minutes later still no drink. I actually sat there watching her whilst she totally forgot. Didn't even tick in her mind, when she kept looking at me with no drink? I just got up and walked out, and they didn't blink an eye....

Abaco Libros is a small bookstore in a lovely old building with brick archways, ceiling fans, walls of books and a row of wooden tables and chairs down the middle. we got to this place trying to get away from the insistent sellers on the street pulling and yelling at you trying to sell you whatever, and boy we did. This was a very good surprise, we had very good espresso coffee, a cake, lemonade, in a very pleasant quiet space. The attention was very good too, I think the name of the young girl in the counter was Sara, from Coro-Venezuela.

We stepped into this place to escape the mid day heat and we're not disappointed. The cold brew was the perfect pick me up we needed. The best part of this charming bookstore/cafe was the barista who entertained our 15 month old son and gave mom and dad an hour break. She was so sweet with him and completely made our visit to Abaco Libros top notch!
