My partner and I stopped by this restaurant in Sennybridge for dinner during our walking holiday with our dogs. The restaurant is pet-friendly, which was a huge plus for us. The exterior of the restaurant looked dull and outdated, but once inside, we were pleasantly surprised by the modern decor and large screen TVs. We were the only customers on a Sunday evening at 6.30pm, so service was fast. Unfortunately, they did not have Guinness available, so my husband settled for a Staropramen instead. My husband I were staying at a B&B close by and decided to eat here on our last evening, and we were so glad we did. It is lovely and modern and fresh inside with loads of lovely quotes throughout, which made us smile when we read them. We were the first in the restaurant until a family of three arrived so it was very quiet and very quick service. There was plenty of choice on the menu, I opted for curry and my hubby the peppered steak and both were lovely. We visited this restaurant as part of a bus tour group and because of our large number, we had all pre-ordered our meals. My wife and I chose the gammon, egg, and chips. Despite being a small pub, the staff were incredibly efficient. Our plates were red hot and the food was plentiful and beautifully presented, particularly the gammon which was off the bone and the chips were excellent. All the other meals in our group were of the same great quantity and quality. The prices were very reasonable and the staff were friendly and well-presented. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
We booked a last-minute Sunday lunch for a group of 10 people at the pub, and they were very accommodating and took great care of us. One of our party members has a Gluten intolerance, but the restaurant went above and beyond to provide Gluten-free options, including making Gluten-free gravy. Came here on a saturday night, food was cold, service was slow, when asked for a beer was shouted at by a rather unhappy Dawn. We felt very threatened by her behaviour, my mental health has affected my confidence to now eat out anywhere. My therapist says this will take at least 6-12 months to ever walk into a pub again. Which is a shame, because I like pubs. Thanks Dawn.
First time I’ve been In the aber in about 25 years and how things have changed. It’s beautiful, the food was spot on and I’m very fussy but we will definitely be going back there. Was hoping to see an old friendly face but I think she was cooking but hopefully next time. The service was fab, staff were lovely so 10/10 from me and the hubby
