Abyssinian Restaurant

Those who want to try different cultures and cuisines, I invite you to try this restaurant. You can have completely veg or non veg meal (halal).Best way to eat is with family or friends in one big round dish which van be shared by two or three people. You get two twp veg, two non veg, fish and two daal all placed on several bread (apam).You eat this with your fingers and enjoy the traditional meal. The restaurant is small so reservation is recommended. And the meal is not expensive, say around AUD 25-30/person.Go for it!

Went here on a Friday night after flying in from a business trip. The food was amazing, we ordered the shared platter between the two of us and there was more than enough food. We also got a bottle of the Ethiopian wine which we thought was a bit of a risk however it was a delicious cab sav. Would go here again and again, the meat dishes were great and the vegetarian ones were equally fantastic!

We bought a scoop on voucher and it looked like everyone in the restaurant had one. Th food exceeded our expectations in taste and look forward to going back there. The service was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble.

Pleasant evening meal. Interesting flavours. Attentive service. Food served promptly despite a sudden influx of diners. Try the chicken in berbere sauce that was the tastiest dish.

Might not be to everyone's taste but give it a go you might be surprised, try the platter. Excellent friendly service, good decor, only criticism would be a small drinks menu.
