can eat in some way not mistake and this would have 5*s, but the music was a strange choice and let the ambiente in the 1980s francie goes to hollywood, as the hire required more classic music, etc. we were placed behind the wall and little forgotten, no broth roll at the arrival, so we had to ask, as we noticed, that it butter on the table and we had to serve our own wein after the first of the waiter! the atmosphere of the restaurant had died at 9 o'clock! pity really as if there really could be something like the setting of ashridge house is what brought us there!

The restaurant is lovely and the food was excellent. Given we went on 20th December and it was a festive menu we were somewhat disappointed at the lack of a Christmas presence, didn’t even get crackers. That said, our waiter was brilliant, he was very young but so lovely and professional and he definitely helped to make our evening. We would definitely go again.

Outstanding roast dinner, however the service was incredibly slow, multiple items forgotten. You cannot divide the bill by anything other than 50% and they only take card. The children’s meals were incredibly expensive for something very basic. I would probably return once they find their feet, and only with two people and ask for the food earlier…
