This place truly lives up to its reputation. The best hot dog in the Adirondacks, hands down. I tried the Southern Dog, which transported me to the South with its flavors, and the deep fried corn on the cob was a delightful and unique twist. My wife opted for the chili dog and was very pleased. The owner was extremely friendly and accommodating to our baby and family. A great atmosphere with good people. Definitely worth spending your money here.
In search of a fast lunch option, we decided to try the Adirondack Dog House. Both my husband and I chose the Southern Dog special, which consisted of a hotdog on a fresh bun topped with BBQ pulled pork and coleslaw. We also shared a large order of fries. The staff was friendly and the service was prompt. Overall, we had no complaints about our experience at this establishment.
For a place named Adirondack Dog House, I expected the dogs to be extraordinary. They were decent—nothing to rave about, but still enjoyable. The woman at the counter was charming and shared some jokes with the kids, which was a nice touch. There was plenty of food for the price. I would definitely consider stopping by again if I needed to.
We love this place. It is always a must to stop here for lunch on the way home from camping the Adirondacks. People are very friendly, they always have water for those with dogs and also a few treats for your dog when ordering. The food was great. The hamburger was cooked to order. Sweet potato fries were good. The owners were wonderful people remember when you order a simple hot dog what it means. So the person who wrote the bad review should get a life that I would go to this place for lunch. Great service place.
As a property owner in the area, I recently found the Dog House last summer and have been stopping there every time I drive from Rochester to Inlet. I often have lunch there while in Inlet and have been impressed by the great owner and delicious food.
We had bacon cheese burgers and they were fantastic! Real burgers, not pressed patties and lots of bacon. We ordered 2 orders of chili cheese fries and the proprietor suggested we split one. It was huge and delicious.
Very good hotdogs. I laughed that they are called Texas style but there are beans in the chili (definitely not Texas . Onion rings were amazing, as were the owners. It was odd they didn't offer Chicago Dogs. Réservez une table maintenant
Great stop for a quick lunch. Hot dogs, burgers, fries and the like. Options for kids too. Staff was very friendly and helpful, seating indoors and a few tables outside too. Good prices, but cash only!
