Good and cozy. The Gutsausschank Adler has a long tradition and is equally popular with locals and visitors to Wicker as the “gateway to the Rheingau”. A reservation is therefore highly recommended, especially in the beer garden under the chestnut trees. The dining room inside is quaint and cozy. The menu offers the typical dishes of a Gutsausschank, plus one or two daily specials. Our onion schnitzel was tender and juicy, the fries were well fried and seasoned. The beef salad and the rump steak with onions and fried potatoes were also convincing. The wine list includes almost a dozen simple but tasty wines, probably from the local area.
