I went to eat here with my Afghan friend. We weren 't expecting such a busy restaurant, but we immediately noticed the beautiful decoration... we were lucky and were able to eat at one of about 5 carpet seat tables , i.e. traditionally sitting cross-legged on comfortable oriental cushions. I was actually expecting more Afghan staff like at the food festival, the ladies who served us weren 't really passionate about it, a waitress just came to our table and stared at us until we said something, EFZ won the lottery?, we greeted you the guests right?!….The food was good, but I have eaten better in some Afghan households. I think the prices are reasonable for Zurich, but I can 't recommend it to...
It was my first time to try Afghan food, and overall I can say that it was a beautiful experience. We had the Samosas, mantu baklava, which they all confirmed to be vegan. The mantu was a bit too sharp on my taste, but the Samosas baklava were delicious. I would definitely go back and try some of their other vegan options. Updated by previous rating on 2023-02-07
Superb Afghan restaurant. The lunch menu is smaller than the full menu, so for a more complete experience you might want to check the restaurant for dinner. We tried a handful of dishes and all were extremely good. The same for the desserts. The service is fast and a reservation is recommended
the order is delivered 30 minutes too soon. mantu were sharp, small, filling like dolma, meat not found. the unpleasant taste and sharpness have followed me all day. plus: mantu have looked beautiful. not recommended.

Very nice and fine Afghan restaurant 5 minutes walk from Limmatplatz. Authentic cuisine with good and attentive service staff. The Likal is a bit loud and has tight seating. The sauce portions are a bit tight.
This restaurant has a pretty exotic touch. I felt like in the other world. The food was very interesting and new. The vegan options are plentiful and the restaurant is happy to make vegan recommendations.
Excellent food and top service. I would be happy to come back to this enchanting restaurant at any time.
