Afternoon Tea At The Mill Grill

I took my mother here for her birthday for afternoon tea. The waitress and the waiter were absolutely lovely. The afternoon tea was really nice apart from the coffee not being very hot. It all went down hill when the bar maid accused me of lying!! I have never experienced such poor attitude and behaviour towards a customer. She continued to raise her voice arguing with me, whilst trying to provoke me, until another customer approached and then she tried to back track on her actions. She had absolutely no customer service or communication skills, and no knowledge of how to resolve problems effectively. Such a disappointment, as she completely ruined the first impression and experience we had up until that point. No customer should have to endure that behaviour and feel they need to justify themselves. Really poor.

Had an afternoon tea at the mill. It was the best one I've had in a very long time. Fresh bread, lovely sandwiches, good variety of cakes, moist and tasty. The scones were still warm and super tasty. Would definitely recommend. 5 stars. Happy customers Meal type: Other Price per person: £10–20

Wouldn’t even give it a 1 star. Got told my id was fake, and they took my friends id. Never to return again, dodgiest place in stownmarket. AVOID at all costs Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
