At the arrival we had to wait as they couldn't find the booking. When ordering one of my guest asked to have the chicken breast without sweetcorn and after the waiter came back saying the chef explained the sweetcorn is the main ingredient in the menu as it's cooked 3 ways and not having sweetcorn would alter the original taste of the recipes, my guest asked if something else could be added instead. When the food was delivered the staff didn't ensure we had everything we needed, salt and pepper were missing and a check back wasn't given throughout the dinner. The chips were dry and far overcooked, the RibEye was uneatable, the duck breast was tough, chewy and overcooked, the haddock dish was...
I have visited this restaurant before and enjoyed their Sunday lunch, and I was not disappointed this time around. Despite the renovations causing it to be very busy, we were squeezed into a small table alongside other guests. It did take a bit longer than usual for our food to arrive, and our drinks took 20 minutes to be served. Additionally, getting into the building was a bit of a challenge as exits were blocked and there were no signs for guidance. Despite these minor inconveniences, I look forward to visiting again in the near future. Thank you, Susan Duncan.
We went to this restaurant to celebrate my dad's birthday and it truly made his day. We were seated at a beautiful table by the window with a view of the sea. My dad couldn't stop praising the attentive and friendly service. The food was delicious, as we tried a variety of dishes from the menu and everyone was satisfied. We are already making plans to come back soon!
A very enjoyable meal in an excellent setting . The waitress was also very good ,and the only slight down side was we hoped to have a view of the sea front but our table was somewhat obscured from the view. But no serious complaints whatsoever. Very much recommended.

We had a night away before our baby was due, started off with a spa treatment each, followed by a delicious meal. The pork cheek rigatoni was exceptional, we just both wish we had room for dessert. Will definitely be going back.

I think there was a staff shortage so service was slow. However they tried their best. The food was good and The Roslin always feels special.
