Overall a great experience with the representative on the phone. I am a Jamaican who is trying to get into the African culture of eating and needs a lot of help to figure out what to try.The attendant was kind, helpful and friendly. This is appreciated and welcomed. The fufu and goat agusi were good tasting and overall my daughter and I enjoyed the experience of venturing outside of our norm.One suggestion to help with getting the experience from good to exceptionally great is reducing the wait time. This review is focused on the service at the restaurant. I have not yet tried the food, but I had to wait for an hour for my order to be ready, despite being told it would be done by a certain time. When I finally received my food, it was only at room temperature and not hot. I was disappointed to find out on my way home that part of my order was missing. When I called to inquire about it, the staff member initially brushed me off, claiming that my missing food was sitting right there. Wow, where do I even begin? From the moment I walked in, the service was incredibly warm and friendly! Samantha greeted me with a smile, made me feel welcome, and handed me the menu. My order was quickly prepared and the food was fresh! When I finally tasted it at home, I was blown away! Each bite was packed with flavor and I couldn't get enough. I even had some leftovers, but couldn't resist coming back for more. Samantha, who remembered me, greeted me with the same enthusiasm and friendliness as before. Terrible experience! Don't waste your money. My partner ordered ribs, mac and cheese, and yam. They received 4 ribs, a small portion of cauliflower, and a large serving of rice with 3 fried bananas. My wings tasted like teriyaki sauce and not what I asked for. The prices were also very high and there was no menu. I will definitely not be returning!
I went in looking for Nsima, I didn’t know Banku is the same thing. Well I got what was looking for. The food was delicious and the owners were very friendly. Watched a good game of real football then watched some music videos from Africa. This spot is close to my work area, I will be going often.
