But as in all things you cannot expect high standards everyday and this was going to be one of those days. I selected lambs fry ... which by QLD standards was very expensively priced for a club.. skimpy 3 thinly sliced pieces on a small serve of mashed potato with a few vegetables. Was in Canberra for work, thought I'd try one of the local sports clubs.I had been here once before years ago but they have since renovated it, upon my entry i was shocked to see a bucket on the floor catching water from the roof (It was raining heavily outside but still)? Surely this is some sort of electrical hazard. My main meal admittedly was absolutely delicious I had the padthai (slightly pricey but would get again)! The dessert options were for me the biggest disappointment, the dessert fridge looked like it would fit well in a Mcafe macdonalds. Having dined at this club on many previous occasions I was extremely disappointed in finding that the advertised meal special was only for members. No mention of this until you get in the club itself. Yes conditions apply but usually not a membership only thing. Also felt the club had lost a bit of personality this time.
Covid restrictions in force. No pokies, limited bar space but sufficient. Friendly helpful staff. Convenient to where we stayed. Restricted menu, but what we had was very good. Large group no complaints re food. Cheap membership, so signed up. Members discounted prices. Definitely on list of places to return to.

I like Ainslie Football Club. The vegan food may not be the absolute best I've had, but they offer a wonderful range of options from Italian to Asian cuisines. It's a pleasant surprise to find so many choices at a place like this.
I enjoy Ainslie Football Club. It is not the best vegan food I've ever eaten, but they have a wide choice and variety Italian to Asia. You would never expect to have as many options in a place like this, so it feels happy.
This fantastic club offers excellent meals. You can also come and watch a football game on the field behind the club.
