We started with delectable drinks made with maracuya (passion fruit) Sauvignon Blanc, I only had 1 but I think I could drink a pitcher! I'd adopt it as a my new mimosa (but much better), for appetizers we had ceviche of fresh sea bass perfectly made with just enough limón, aji, leche de Tigre topped with big white corn a couple slices of sweet potato the anticuchos were served thinly sliced with a great sauce on top. I had the Lomito Saltado served with traditional rice and fries and 3 sauces; aji verde, aji amarillo, y aji rojo (rocoto), my friend had Steak a lo Pobre grilled skirt steak, roasted potatoes, fried bananas, rice topped with a fried egg. I've eaten at Aji a dozen times if not more. Last nights dinner was again delicious. It's what happened toward the end of our meal. Why would management allow or ask staff to start cleaning the restaurant while 2 tables of 4 people are still eating. We had food sitting on our table when the stacking of chairs began, when the sweeping began and when the mopping with cleaner began. It's one thing to start putting things away but never should this happen. I've eaten at restaurants all over the world and this has never happened. We spent a lot of money only to leave disappointed.
This place is AMAZING! Wonderful service from a very sweet staff. And all the food is terrific! I have not tried anything here I don't like. It is always clean and has rustic decor with exposed brick and a lovely wine wall! I here for a quick bite in between classes but I came to love it so much I brought my boyfriend and grandma(out of the way) to try this delicious spot. I will be back many more times. I want to try everything on the menu!
Service was excellent the owner even talked us through the menu and chatted with us after the meal about recipes. The meal was delicious with the perfect amount of spice on the arrocito con norteño, plenty of clean shrimp, and fresh sea food. Paired with showdown rye out of the freshly cleaned tap. My new favorite weekly spot, you will find me here happy hour Tuesday 4-6:30.
Have been coming here for years, and it never disappoints! I love the arroz chaufa with tofu. Plus, they make a great sangria! The staff is welcoming and friendly, and the environment is clean, modern, and open. They also have parking in back, which is a fantastic bonus in the retro row area! They also have high chairs for little ones.
You can't tell from the outside but it's a really nice restaurant and the staff is fantastic. The food is delicious and the use solid without being too oily.The shredded chicken and then appetizers were unreal highly recommend the sharing option of different dishes.We had a bottle of Tempranillo delicious.
