It's tough to say much about the business, everything was so mediocre. The service, the decor, even the Ramen. I got the basic Chashu, but it was more basic than I could've expected. The pork was sliced into strips instead of the usual preparation, which made it easier to eat, but it was a bit over cooked. The egg was over, cooked as well, which was an even greater disappointment. But the noodles and broth were fine. Just fine. the prices are fine. The place is clean. There's nothing really to dislike or to especially like about the place.
Atmosphere quaint, home feel, indoor seating available with sushi counter. Customer service Excellent service. Sushi chef was alone took our orders, prepared the food and served the food. Taste everything wad freshly prepared and tasty. Great presentation. We ordered the teriyaki chicken box which came with assorted Tempura, California roll and salad. We also had dragon roll, hot night roll and rainbow roll. Tempura was crispy and tasty. Sushi was fresh. Price Average, good value.
We have been the customer for over 10 years, ever since he owned the original Kai sushi bar in Torrance.Owner Kimura さん is such a friendly warm person.Since we moved out of the state we have been missing his food. After revisit his new restaurant, it was still as wonderful as we remember. He remembers what you like and his greeting is happy and genuine.
So I did not try the ramen, but we ordered 4 bento boxes, salmon, chicken, and beef, and then two sushi rolls. The bento boxes were ok, nothing special. The sushi rolls: rainbow roll was good....the yellowtail roll was terrible and actually threw it away, disgusting! The biggest problem was we spent about $100.....should have gone to Miyoda.

Excellent food and friendly staff. I had the Beef bowl and it was delicious! I really appreciated that the teriyaki was not overly salty. The gyoza was nice and golden brown. We also had the chocolate mochi which was fantastic.
Tasty sushi and gyoza. The ramen was just ok in my book; the noodles were a little off for me just not quite cooked enough and the broth was fair.
Ramen is not good, only toppings were 2 tiny pieces of pork and cabbage.Not sanitary, red pepper container had mold and dirt.Food: 1/5
Sushi to go !!! Delicious n fresh sushi ! n sushi , lot of varieties!! U wont regrets !!! All u need is to try and owner is friendly!

Fish is terrible quality. Had to send back a Philadelphia roll and have never seen a Rainbow Roll executed so poorly.
