I was really excited to try this place. It's one of only Japanese restaurants in the area so I thought it would be a nice evening out but it was disappointing. The rice was gluey, the yakitori was deep fried, the tempura was not freshly made. Bibimbap really needed seasoning and we could hear the microwave being used a lot. We hadn't eaten all day so we did eat most of our meal but we were so disappointed in the quality compared to the price. It's too bad because there aren't many other similar options around.
We have eaten in the restaurant, but most recently it has been a take away experience. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, very striking, with attention to detail. Space between tables is good and table sizes allow for all dishes to be put out. My personal favourite is tempura prawns vegetable noodles and the starters are perfect for getting you ready for the main. Portions are plentiful. This is a gem of a restaurant.
The restaurant itself is quite small but nice, sits about 30 covers. It's was fully booked today. Great service, amazing food. Sashimi are to die for, the fish were so soft, literally melts in your mouth. As everything is made fresh to order, it does take a while for the food to arrive. This is definitely one of our favourite places to go and eat. So please make sure you book if you want to try and I think you should
The scallops sushi surprised me a lot! I’ve never thought of eating something comparable to the foods I had in Japan! Really fresh tasty, even without any soy sauce nor wasabi! I like the freshly made udon as well. Chewy and the saltness was just-right. The crispy dumplings with rich fillings are also recommended. Always good, but decided to review just to add that the young waitress with blonde hair who served us just before Christmas was very friendly and helpful and made the experience that little bit better. Good waiting staff are worth their weight in gold. Don't need to mention the food it's always spot on.
We visited the restaurant with friends for a birthday treat.we had sharing platter of each and a main dish ,the was freshly prepared and was excellent .the staff was very courteous and professional.
Really surprised this place has such good reviews. Very small amounts of fish in the tuna avocado roll and they told another guest they had to wait 30mins as they were defrosting it.
Super friendly and helpful staff. Real authenticity to the food. A little dark inside and limited seating but just very minor niggles. Highly recommended.
