Akbar Cuisine Of India

Akbar has been my favorite group of Indian restaurants in LA for over 10 years. Your food is always of great quality, extremely tasteful, whether you are spicy or mild, there is a very good variety, and the atmosphere of the restaurant as well as the service is very beautiful. There are several Akbar’s in the LA region, one in Marina del Rey, one in Santa Monica, and one in Pasadena, all from the same owners and overseas from the same chef, Avinash Kapoor. The three are all different in the decor, but all have similar menus. This special review concerns those in Marina del Rey that I have gone more than the others, but all are great! The atmosphere in this acabar is very beautiful, type of medium light with warm jazzy paintings and colors, and has a kind of stylish, hip, funny ambience. It's not dressed, but it's pretty and still feeling. As far as food is concerned, everything I had on all Akbars was excellent (although the dishes tend to vary somewhat in style, depending on the cook that prepares it. The dishes are all prepared with high quality meat and fish and with all Indian spices. The Chicken Tikka Masala and Coco Lamb are particularly outstanding. One thing that is very nice in this acabar is that you can order dishes as a complete meal, including rice, daal and mixed vegetables. (You can also order a la carte . Another great thing about Akbar is that they have an excellent wine list, both through the glass and through the bottle.

Loves this place, it has a large terrace, large selection, some corresponding volume jazz music. The owner, or who I suspect, is the owner, is super attentive and even remembered the second time that I came after like 3 months Lol. I think many people take here, it seems, but I want to put some time aside to just dinate, and this is one of the places I feel very welcome. Most ducks are around $17 and then you can make it a meal with rice, vegetables, naan for an additional $5. Beer and wine prices seem fair. Food and drinks come out immediately, and the amount of food will make 2 meals, unless you absolutely fill yourself. Can't think of something else, but I recommend this as my favorite Indian place in Venice.

Our friends live in the neighborhood and brought us here for dinner. I have a long list of allergies and the manager JC was incredibly helpful and accommodating, suggesting that I could eat. Everything was absolutely delicious! We tried the cook special, the Aubergine, Koko lamb, the Okra, and several other dishes. Everything was so tasteful and wonderful, the Coco lamb was the standout. It was nice to sit outside on the terrace and we could bring our puppies that were beautiful. Very recommended!

Excellent Indian cuisine focused on Mughlai cuisine. much better than anything else you can find with amazing wine prices... You have a beautiful terrace set-up as well as for outdoor dining. Very recommend the attempt to hack lamb, chicken tikka masala. Great Veg dishes and... Clean food... I am here regularly thanks to the passion for quality. One of the best culinary experiences you can have!

All I can say is WOW. This place was fantastic and the service was off the chart. My host named JC was incredible. His knowledge of wine and food was amazing. The food was 5 star and the customer service was 5 stars as well. If you have the opportunity to visit this restaurant please do and make sure you ask for JC. 5 stars all day.
