On March 1st, my colleague and I visited Akbars around 10:45pm. We ordered poppadoms, keema naan, fries, butter chicken, rice, and chicken balti. The poppadoms arrived within a minute, followed by all our food and drinks shortly after. The butter chicken lacked flavor and had very little chicken. The keema naan turned out to be plain naan. We were not impressed and decided to ask for the bill. The total came to £45.05. The manager, Maz, was understanding and offered to make it right if we returned another day, but we won't be going back. The restaurant is very clean and hygienic with a great atmosphere. The waiting staff were friendly and we were served quickly. A special thanks to Saif who made us feel very welcome and served us quickly and professionally. The food portions were large and arrived hot. The food itself was delicious and filling. Despite being big eaters, my friend and I were completely full by the end of our main course, so we sadly had no room for dessert. I would highly recommend Akbars to anyone interested in fine Indian cuisine. I cannot recommend this place enough! Thank you to all the staff for a great evening out.
I came with my wife in this beautiful restaurant and was served by a very professional and knowledgeable waiter Kammy he was very polite and had good recommendations for food. I have been to other Akbars such as Manchester and Leeds and is no where near the service that this restaurant has. It is one of the best service i have had. The food was incredibly delicious and tasty. Thank you to my waiter Kammy and the staff and hope to see you again.
This was the second time my friend and I dined at Akbar's and the standard was excellent as usual. Nothing more to add than my previous review, other than to reiterate the food, service and cleanliness are all top class. Many thanks to Kammy and the team for a superb service. My friend and I will definitely dine there again this is our go to restaurant!

To be honest, my dining experience was not good. The food was full of butter and oil, rather than the authentic Indian flavors I was expecting. The staff were not very friendly, although I did like one of them.
The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, delicious food, accommodating staff, and exceptional service provided by Ansh from Delhi, India. Make sure to sample the Chicken Tikka Masala and Family Naan.
If I could, I wouldn't even give this place one star. The staff is rude and ignorant, they refused to answer my question, and the menus are misleading.
4 of us went, 3 of us left with food poisoning and had a rough few days following . Would not recommend.
