Akropolis - Réservation de table

Two of us came here for dinner. When we entered, we did not notice that there was a queue because there were empty tables in the hall. When we entered, a middle-aged man in a blue shirt, with a bracelet on his arm and a necklace around his neck, came to us. He was very rude. He acted like he was questioning why we came. He pointed out in a rude and condescending manner that there was a queue. We didn't realize there was a queue because there were empty tables, then we realized there were one couple in the queue. They then gave us a table at the back of the restaurant and we sat down. What I observed while sitting down was that he was very rude to the other waiters and belittled them as well....

Not what it used to be, in my opinion. The woman who clears the table is an absolute maniac and needs to chill out. She is obnoxious clearing the table the minute she sees that you’re finished moving your hands out of the way just to get those utensils. God forbid you want to sit and relax for a few minutes. Other waitress with dark hair kept bumping into my chair over a dozen times when there was ample space between me and the next table. Lamb gyro was dry, tzaziki sauce is overpowered by onion. The food just gives constant heartburn. No longer the best Greek on Long Island. I have definitely found better.

We enjoyed the lunch at Akropolis. We had the spinach pie, the fried zucchini, and the Chicken Souvlaki. While all the dishes were good, we especially enjoyed the spinach pie. The spinach was well seasoned, and it wasn't overwhelmed by the cheese,etc. It was pretty busy for a weekday lunch. Service was good and prompt.

Best Greek food on Long Island. Owner is always there, making sure you have a great experience. Love the Chick pea salad they start you off with. Pita is soft and fresh. White sauce I can't spell is so good. Best Greek salad and homemade dressing. Réservez une table maintenant
