Al Mina is a phenomenal cafe in prospect. They used to only do sweets but now do food as well. The food is freshly made, no microwave on the premises, and is absolutely delicious. The price is a real bargain considering the portion size and the quality of the food. This is one of the best places in Adelaide for coffee and with the restaurant now serving fresh Lebanese food it is a must visit. A Cibo cafe is only just up Prospect road from Al Mina. It normally has 2-3 times the people in it - little do these people know about the gem just down the road in Al Mina. The coffee's better, the sweets not thawed from the freezer but freshly made and the price is at least 50% cheaper. Your kidding yourself if you go anywhere else in Prospect!

Al Mina ("the harbour") recently moved from Main North Rd to Prospect Rd and now serves light lunches in addition to a great range of Lebanese sweets. My wife and I had lunch there today and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the AB wrap (lamb with salad and ranch dressing, with chips in the wrap) and her indoors had the falafel salad. We finished with some Lebanese sweets and coffees. Service was friendly and efficient, and prices reasonable. They are planning to bring out gluten free and vegan menus in the near future. My only reservation is that it's a little cramped. With food of this quality I can see them needing bigger premises in future.

The sweets are to die for, the coffee is good and the pide is delicious. You can tell a lot of love goes into the food here. A cultural experience without leaving Adelaide.
