Broke the journey from Santander to Marbella at Alcala de la Henares, on the outskirts of Madrid. The hotel seemingly closes its restaurant on many Saturday nights as it does a lot of weddings! Somewhat irritating! So if you find yourself in the Isla de la Garena hotel with a closed restaurant and a limited 'cafeteria ' menu you may feel the urge to go elsewhere. Look no further than the Alcaravea Alcala! I called and booked a table in English which I could have done in Spanish but it 's nice to know with limited Spanish that lingo isn 't going to be a problem. De lo mejor con diferencia en La Garena… el Secreto y la Carrillada excelentes y los huevos rotos con jamón o gambones exquisitos. Variedad en carta de vinos y postres recomendable la de Zanahoria o muerte por chocolate) .Buen trato . Repetiremos . Es aconsejable los fines de semana llamar para coger cita . Cierran los domingos
