Only reason giving this place 3 stars is due to cost. 90 cents for a glass of wine is sooooo cheap, but that's it. Staff were so miserable, I asked for a drinks menu in Spanish (the lady obviously knew I was English by my dodgy accent Spanish! and she said only food menu and walked off! Then came back and I ordered a wine and a beer, the beer had a head bigger than the beer itself! I then waited at the bar to order another drink and 2 staff walked straight past me and proceeded to unbox some wine, 5 minutes later I got served and the place was almost empty! had my hand out waiting for my change and she slapped it on the bar... Maybe it was just me, but they seemed chatty and happy enough with Spanish customers. Won't return.
The only plus going for this place is its close proximity to the Holiday Inn Express. The dismal, unsmiling staff all give the impression of being recently bereaved and there is a noticeable frostiness to non-Spanish clients. One steak meal was OK. The two others were appalling: my Caesar salad should have contained a small chicken breast fillet but arrived with perhaps a tablespoon of diced chicken and smothered in half a jar of mayonnaises. My burger, with trimmings, was terrible with the burger so thin it was nearly invisible. I cannot say avoid this bar as it the only place to eat on this huge trading estate and the hotel is good. But if you go with very low expectations then you will not be disappointed.
Went there with the kids as we were spending the night in the Holiday Inn and its across the parking lot. Sandwiches were great for the kids and we had the special two course menu which was great for the price and included a bottle of wine. Waitress was fine and friendly too so overall for a total of 36 euros we all four got to eat and have a bottle of wine. I will come here again when we are traveling thru.
This restaurant caters to the holiday inn express witch in the most part is a captive audience as it is very close. The environment is pleasant and the staff quite nice although woefully inefficient. A quick meal will easily take 1.5 hours. I can’t say that I will not eat here again but I will try not too. Better pick up a sandwich from the highway services and eat in the room.
