We’re in town for just one night and had driven 6 hours to get here, so we were starving! We saw that Aldo’s was close to our hotel and had great reviews and we decided to try it out. We are so glad we did! Oh. My. Goodness. Quite possibly the best Italian food/ food in general!!!! Everything was fresh, handmade/homemade and absolutely delicious. Our daughters are very picky and very rarely eat food when we are out, but they devoured their pizza, Stromboli and fries!!Thank you, thank you, thank you for the wonderful experience!
During our vacation in Alexandria, VA, we decided to check out Aldo's Italian Kitchen because it was close to the Marriot Hotel and we could walk there. The food was amazing, with perfect bread and delicious pizza. The pasta was cooked just right, and the sauces had fantastic flavors. The service was top-notch too, with the staff being quick, efficient, and super friendly. Don't let the looks or location fool you, this place is totally worth a visit. We're really happy we gave it a shot!
Simple but good. Variety of dishes, quick and very friendly. My wife is a vegan and they have a few different things for her. Manny the owner knows everyone and has a bunch of regulars. This is a great place to eat if you want authentic Italian food, the richness, the spices, the cheese, all the flavors on a plate. You feel the warmth and welcome of family when you walk in the door. It's in walking distance from the Hotel and is a must try if/when you visit Old Alexandria, VA area.

One would not expect a cozy family restaurant in a modern office building. Aldo’s is the exception. Lovely cozy atmosphere and good food at reasonable prices. If you are in Alexandria and want genuine Italian head to Aldo’s. The place fills up so I would suggest you make a reservation
The chicken parmigiana was burnt and rock hard on the bottom. It seemed reheated and had very little sauce. My past experiences at this restaurant had been great, but this time was disappointing.
Welcomed warmly by server and owner. Felt like family. Food was very well prepared and delicious and generous portions. Would love to return if in the area.
The food was excellent! The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The service was quick and the atmosphere was wonderful! I enjoyed everything.
