Aldwyn's At Ellerslie

the restaurant was confusing to find as it is based in a pension village (which is not advertised). the staff was friendly and friendly. we were told that there was a mix and the kitchen was not advised that we were there for the afternoon, so we had to wait up to 45 minutes - but we were given a free glass prosecco. when our afternoon arrived (about 25 minutes later) the waitress fell a few items from the tablet on the floor, we were told they would bring replacement, but they never arrived. beautiful view, beautiful it area, although we were the only customers. good selection of sandwiches and cake, it is a shame that some items were missing.

This place has all the attributes to be a fantastic restaurant,sadly it’s very inconsistent. I’ve was blown away by first meal I had there over a year ago but I’ve never really been impressed since and it’s usually only little things but you can’t help leaving feeling disappointed,

Just moved to the area and our neighbours suggested visiting. It’s definitely going to be a regular spot for us. Food was tasty and the staff were just incredibly nice. It really cemented our decision that moving to the area was a great idea!

Afternoon tea was so lovely and everything was tasty. However, I've got to say that the clotted cream was the best. It could have been homemade. Lush!

Service was slow. Was waiting for drinks for a while when it wasn’t busy.
