I recently visited Alexandria Seafood in Sydney and was thrilled to find a fish and chip shop that brought back memories of my childhood. The atmosphere was old school, unpretentious, and simple. I ordered the Fisherman's Basket, which included a piece of battered fish, chips, and tartare sauce, along with an additional potato scallop. The fish and scallop were perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior and a moist interior. The portion size of the chips was generous, making it a satisfying and affordable meal. The staff at Alexandria Seafood were friendly and welcoming, and I will definitely be returning for another visit. Thank you Alexandria Seafood for a wonderful dining experience.
I suspect the locals want to keep this place a secret. In a suburb where hipster cafes dominate aggressively people tend to forget cheap old school eats. This place in my opinion is a gem. It's humble in its appearance but they serve up fantastic fish and chips. I got the grilled dory and it was definitely a thumbs up. The service was also on point. I will come back for that grilled fish soon.
This has been a long time favourite when wanting a quick, fresh, nicely cooked piece of fish. I like mine grilled and can choose your own from what they have that day, Snapper, Barramundi, Blue eyed cod and so on. With chips and salad it's $14, terrific value and a large portion. They do the usual stuff like calamari, battered fish and even fresh oysters. I like to call them before I pick up.
This restaurant serves the most delicious gluten-free grilled fish. The Greek salad is fantastic and the fries are tasty. The service is friendly and attentive, they even remember your previous orders. It would be great if they had more seating available outside on the sidewalk.

Great local fish and chip shop. Nothing fancy at all about Alexandria Seafood. Quick service and the chips are pretty good. Not a bad selection of fish that can be grilled, battered or crumbed.<br/ <br/ Cheap, cheerful and tastes good.
The food here is amazing. The potato scallops are particularly delicious. The service is fantastic and the dishes are always fresh and flavorful. It's also a great value for the money.
