We booked a reservation, turned up, got told they’re ere closed the kitchen was closed, showed our booking confirmation and they said they would happily seat us (we triple checked as we didn’t want to keep them past hours), they rushed us to order, they took half the plates away whilst the others were still eating, put the bill down without us asking for it and then to top it all off opened the door (it was cold) so we would get cold and leave which was so so rude we were shocked never actually had worse service. We confronted how awful they were and no apologies. Food was average at best too needs a staff rejig I reckon
Six of us visited this restaurant after a local event, but we were disappointed by their inability to accommodate special dietary requests, which was not typical of Italian dining. Even requesting a half portion of spaghetti to go with a meal was met with a refusal, as they do not offer half portions. While the pizzas were decent, the other main dishes were lacking in flavor and were bland. Considering the price per person, we were expecting better quality and overall, we would not be eager to return.
I recently visited Alma's for the second time and had just as great of an experience as my first visit. We decided to dine at this restaurant because it is conveniently located near our office, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure our reservation was confirmed. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy and intimate. Despite some of our party being delayed by trains, we were not rushed at all. I highly recommend Alma's for a fantastic dining experience.
selected almas, because it was convenient to london bridge and pleased that we did it. very welcome and within minutes we realized that it was a family-run restaurant. starters were calamari fritti, olive and focaccia brot freshly baked well presented and delicious. freshly made ravioli with mushrooms and truffles...amazing and pizza piccantina that my friend loved. when we were there, we were the only people there and had great talks with the family, especially.

This is a great little restaurant with good, inexpensive food. The pasta and pizza dishes are fresh and good quality. When I read some of the recent negative reviews, I nearly cancelled but I’m glad I didn’t as in fact the staff were friendly and efficient. The restaurant was fairly quiet when we arrived but more people soon arrived and the atmosphere was warm. I and three friends all had a good experience and agreed we would go again.
Mediocer food, slow service and a noise level from hell. We had booked but were still given the worst bar table even though there was free tables available. When we got back to the hotel we got an email saying our booking was cancelled. We were there in the autumn of 2021 and loved the place so it must be new owners.
great service and good food. for an early dinner with two young children stopped and eating was great, children loved the pizza and was an authentic Italian and so much more beautiful than with one of the many chains. beautiful risotto and calzone, good wine card and beautiful atmosphere. would recommend!
This is a gem of a family run Italian restaurant. The food was of excellent quality and very tasty. The pasta was home made etc. The service was quick and the staff very friendly. The place is very clean and has a great atmosphere. We can highly recommend and will soon be back.

Excellent food service. Homemade pasta, pizza calzone did not disappoint. Every thing was fresh made to order. Great gem by Borough Market.
