Almer Bauernkasten

Today 16.6.2023 evening we went for the dinner in this restaurant. The meal was beautiful and we ejoyed it. BUT after I paid and even gave the waitress (an old lady) tip, she recognized, that we are from Czechia. She in front of other guests told us loudly Marsch! This is very abusive word with meaning Begone! I was VERY dissapointed from this her acting. Therefore I strongly don't recommend this restaurant if you are foreigner. Ladislav Novák

Excellent restaurant, my favourite out of all the places we ate at in Maria Alm. The steak was fantastic, great food for children too. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They surprised my son with a birthday pudding with sparklers etc. highly recommend, you can’t go to Maria Alm and not eat in this restaurant. You have to book as it is full every night. They have two sittings a night last one at 8pm.

If staying in Maria Alm, you simply must go here!! Visited with my wife and two children (14/10) and had a delicious meal. Staff so friendly and accommodating, we felt very welcome and very relaxed. Delicious Schnitzel, beautiful homemade pizzas and son enjoyed a particularly hearty mixed grill. And in comparison to local restaurants, incredibly reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit!

Almer Bauernkasten is a typical Austrian wooden chalet and we sat and had a huge salad each with beer while listening to thunder and watching the lightning flashes. Service was friendly and helpful and there was plenty of space at the table. The menu had a good variety of choices and prices were decent.

Best waiter ever. Great Ambiente and chill vibes. The White wine Spritzer is amazing. I cannot stress enoigh the quality of ther service.
