The Pappardelle was absolutely bursting with flavor, featuring generous portions of perfectly cooked Duck with delightful hints of spice. The Foie Gras Parfait was a heavenly mix of melt-in-your-mouth goodness (including cherry jam) that paired wonderfully with the aromatic toasted bread served alongside it. We shared our enthusiasm for these two dishes with the staff, and we were fortunate to have Olga and Cade assist us with additional recommendations that perfectly matched our tastes, even advising us on the order in which to enjoy them. The pappardelle was the highlight of the three courses. The duck fat and sauce clung beautifully to the pasta, which absorbed the flavors wonderfully. The duck was perfectly roasted with crispy skin and tender meat, and the fat melted in my mouth. I also loved the fried garlic crisps on top, which added an extra layer to this flavorful dish. As for the Mille-feuille, it was suitable for sharing between two. The cream was light, and the puff pastry was crisp and delicate. We had a horrible dinner here and it 's hard to fathom that this place earned a Michelin star. The servers, while friendly, were inept. A classic example: one server replenished our glasses of expensive sparkling water with tap water. They seemed like they weren 't trained and had never experienced high end dining themselves though this wasn 't high end, just the prices were . The food was the real stinker. Overall it was either flavourless or heavily salted. Nothing compared to a real Alo Experience and personally surprised this place got a Michelin star. Service was pretty bad to be honest. Everyone's so young, staff having a great time with each other but not professional in my opinion. Our waiter literally ran off in the middle of a sentence to talk to a friend and came back like way later to finally take our order, which I thought was outrageous to be honest at a place like this.Food was overrated and expensive. The food was perfection. It was also so refreshing to be to not have to dress to thee nines to enjoy a Michelin star. No foolish jacket and tie rules. The oysters, carpaccio, Iberico pork chop and the mille-feuille were all perfection done. Best chop and mille-feuille i've had in my life. Clearly the pastry was piped fresh, all the puff was crisp and light. There was a dollop of tart raspberry something in it that made it bright. We ordered two drinks, four appetizers/sides, and two main dishes. In hindsight, we could have skipped the fries since we struggled to finish the mains. The fish was absolutely delicious, with flavors that pleasantly surprised me. The duck pasta was, without a doubt, the best I've ever tasted; the duck pieces were crispy and practically melted in my mouth. I highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely return for a special occasion. Be sure to make a reservation in advance, as it was very busy even on a Tuesday night.

Alobar is a really great Michelin addition. Being part of the Alo Group, you can expect great food, warm hospitality, and an overall positive experience. The main positive is that it’s not a huge fight for reservation/time commitment. It’s more than possible to come in for a relatively last minute intimate soiree, drinks, date, etc. I still think that the mille-feuille here is one of the best in the city and is something I get every time! Hands down though, their star dish has to be the foie gras parfait!

For the quality of food and ingredients, prices are fair. The sparkling wine was fantastic. They also make delicious non-alcoholic cocktails, just tell your server what you’re in the mood for! Patio is lovely and fully shaded. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal here and I will be back.

Outstanding food experience. We celebrated anniversary there. Starters were 9/10 (fois gras 10/10, oysters 8/10, lobster 8/10) , main courses 8/10 (duck papardelle 9/10, short ribs 7/10 (a bit salty for me), desserts 9/10 (cheesecake, mille feuille).One option only for sparking wine, however, it was adorable.Service nice and welcoming.Recommended, but be ready to put some extra money out of your pocket .
