The Alpengasthof supports Slow Food e.v. At first I couldn't start and had to inform me. Slow Food supports a responsible diet based on responsibility and pleasure. The Alpengasthof supports small agriculture from the area, all food comes from the Traunstein district. The good quality of the products is immediately noticed as a guest. All dishes are freshly prepared, finished products and flavor enhancers are consistently dispensed with. I'd like to wait a little longer than usual. The portions are large, cheap not more expensive than other restaurants. Unfortunately, this is not a matter of course. Therefore, you should be in Ruhpolding, visit the inn and enjoy the excellent food. Opposite the inn there is a large parking lot with various hiking trails and the wooden museum, and the Chiemgau Arena is also within walking distance.
Good Bavarian cuisine, specially interpreted and a good value for money! The food is not exceptional, but ideal if you have a big hole in the stomach after hiking and do not want to spend too much. We had a baked carving and mountain cheese sparrows large portions and all in all very tasty: It would certainly be a need to improve the selection of dishes and during dressing. Essen would actually be only 3 points, but since the overall concept and the price fit very well, I give 4 points and will come back after the next Ruhpoldinger hike!
generally not recommended, eat very bad, inflexible! operation the service was very nice, however it cannot compensate the bad kitchen that were eating at the weekend with a group there several times. all the dishes were cooked on a mass, without taste! we would never go to eat there, each cent is too much! the ambiente alpengasthof is well described, rather simply furnished, but very well, cleanliness basically clean. the way to the toilet leads directly past the food output, which I find hygienic not ok.
After a long walk in nature we arrived at Gasthof Laubau. We were welcomed immediately and friendly. The lady of the house quickly picked up the order Cappuccino and apple strudel with vanilla ice cream and cream. Unfortunately, the cappuccino was not from a barist coffee machine, but from a full machine, but was ok. The apple strudel was homemade and super delicious! The interior is typical Bavarian inn.
