This is a little complex of restaurants up on the hillside overlooking the skiing. The furthest away one is a table service place, and that's where I went first. When my wife didn't follow me I clumped back to the self service place. Not there either. I finally found her in the modern facilities but old fashioned pine charm of the Grenzstadl bar, (Grenzstadl = little border town, Germany is just over that-a-way)Small people will have a job climbing up onto the benches - they have built them at bar height. And it's smoky - people still smoke in bars in this country, although plenty of individual pubs and especially restaurants are Nichtraucher. Not this one. The couple at the next table smoke...
