Went to the Alpensteakhaus for the first time with a an international group of eight. This rustic place is not large and you should absolutely reserve in advance. If you are a smaller group you might want to ask to sit in the second room which is a bit farther from the entrance/bar and is probably a bit cozier than the first room. We ordered all kinds of grilled meat and everything was absolutely delicious. Meat of very good quality and cooked to perfection. Also the sides, in particular the grilled veggies, were very tasty. If you 'd like to try out an Austrian desert, order the 'Salzburger Nockerln ', a light puffy sweet desert to die for. Only reason I am not giving five points is that se...
We are a group of 7 that did not want to spend the new year evening in the hotel, so we spontaneously phoned and asked if we could get a table. They let us come a bit earlier than the party storm . The restaurant is rather elegant that a normal steak house, the service was excellent and the food super good. Meat, wine and dessert were amazing. All kids with us (3 teenagers and 1 child) had a very healthy and good dinner. Thanks a lot for the whole restaurant team for their kindness despite the stressful evening. The Alpensteakhaus in Brand offers a great, Austrian-style ambience at 1,000m above sea level and with panoramic views. But the experience doesn't end here: the wine menu offers a wide range (even of wines by the glass), which can be selected via iPad including a more than detailed overview of the grapes and vineyard. The food is also impeccable: I've hardly had any steak that was prepared so well on point and had such a wonderful flavour. Altogether, this was a perfect evening accompanied by attentive and nice service at lower than expected prices. We will definitely come back!
We went here a couple of times with our family and had mostly just steak. The quality of the meat is great and they also have a fair selection of wines. The atmosphere is wonderful in the second room, also good for a romantic dinner. The pepper sauce is a must! Overall very pleased.
