Alpineum Kaffeehaus Bar

This café bar is located in a neoclassical building with dome from the end of the 19th century. It houses the "Alpineum", a 100-year-old "Diorama" of the Swiss mountains. It's a casual place where you order at the counter. There is a small lunch selection, but I only went for an espresso and a small cake (one of two that could be selected: chocolate or amaretto). The outside seat is particularly beautiful in pasture chairs at small round tables with wooden top. There are bamboo plants in pots. Meals are served at the table. Perfect location. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. You'll feel right at home. The best food I've ever eaten. Hat to cook! The food is locally and fresh, the day menu is designed the night before or in the morning, using the best products available. The food is creative, fresh and tasty. Coffee is on site. Local craft beer on tap with a wide selection of wine and cocktails also. Could not recommend very enough.

Stopped of here after visiting the lion monument. We sat outside and had a few beers while watching the hoards of tourists pass by. Lovely chilled atmosphere in this bar which is great for escaping the madness of Lucerne. Definitely call in if you're in the area.

Beautiful small coffee house, bar... little vintage.. pretty sitting area outside, good service and excellent toilet facilities. a few steps from the famous lion carving in the rock face. The walk from the old town is definitely worth it.

Very nice place in quiet neighborhood next to the Lowengarten. I would like to highlight the very high quality of food. The daily dish was very well prepared with a complex but harmonious mixture of flavors. The cook is very gifted.
