Had a new waitress that wasn't familiar with the menu but very nice and apologetic-Co-workers were very helpful to her. The ambiance was magnificent -dark but romantic. Plcs of Italians adorned the wall and with the Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald music piping out made for a wonderful old world experience. the bread arrived cold w/cold butter-but good!I I chose instead an entree garden salad and it arrived cold, crisp and fresh. They allow an add on of an 8-10 oz lobster tail with an entree and it was very tasty. Al's is a classic Italian restaurant that has been around for over 40 years. To be in business that long they must be doing something right. They have a large menu with which to choose Pasta, chicken, seafood , pizza and more. The restaurant has been redone in the past year to bring a more modern feel yet still retain it"s old school charm. The wait staff has a few longtime employees who are top notch and are supplemented by younger staff . The food is very consistent and the portions are generous. This is a great neighborhood place and many who use to live in the Berwyn Cicero area come back to visit Al' s.
I've visited several Italian restaurants throughout the Chicagoland area, and this one has exceeded all my expectations. The portion sizes are generous, and the quality of the food is superb! I typically dine in 1-2 times a month and also order takeout a couple of times each month. The bar area is nice, equipped with several TVs, and best of all, the drink specials are very affordable. You should definitely check it out—you won't want to go back to Olive Garden!
This pizza is absolutely terrible! It has no taste or flavor at all. It seems like they didn’t season it at all—just bland dough and cheese. Yuck! I tried calling to complain, but the manager didn’t seem to care and hung up on me. He should be concerned because customers want a good pizza for their money. Even frozen pizzas taste better. This pizza at Als is awful—consider hiring a good chef! A little salt could make a significant difference.

We love to go out. Yesterday we visited this magnificent restaurant which we didn’t know before. We had a delightful evening there with high-qulity food and an efficient team and a great chef. We added this venue in our phone list and we will surely visit again very soon. We deeply recommend.
I had a wonderful time celebrating my sister's birthday. Our server was delightful and attentive, which made for a fun lunch. This place has been a beloved family favorite for many years.
It was my first time At Al's, I loved it and I have told all my friends so we are planning a girls nite out... Great Place to eat and have a few drink.. the killer Martini awesome :
Great food and great service. The restaurant was quieter than a normal Friday night due to the ongoing Cicero Berwyn Houby Festival that was going on outside.

The menu and service were ahead of our expectations. I really liked the ambience of this restaurant. Excellent restaurant to take the family out for lunch.
Been coming here for the past 10 years. Good prices amd good food. Gald they stuck around for the many years. Its been great to have them here.
