I ordered the Italian beef along with fries, and honestly, as much as I wanted to finish all the generous portions of fries, I just couldn't – the sandwich was massive and filled me up after just one meal. It was served piping hot and fresh. The beef was juicy and, most importantly, incredibly delicious. Fast food at its finest! All the stars go to this place. I stopped by to try the Chicago Hot Dog, and it did not disappoint—it was truly delicious! This restaurant deserves every bit of praise it gets. However, don't expect a fancy dining experience. Grab a hot dog and a drink, and enjoy them in a comfortable, air-conditioned setting. Take a moment to appreciate the history captured in the photos adorning the walls. If you can, pay in cash to avoid the 3% card fee.
This is definitely my favorite Italian beef in the city. The restaurant shines a spotlight on this iconic Chicago dish. As always, the food was fantastic. I ordered the beef with giardiniera, and the combo was delightful. The two crispy fries were salty and crisp. The staff is very friendly.
I was sad when my childhood beef stand closed. Mr Beef make me feel much better about it, Classic Chicago. Nice they have a small parking lot in the area they are in, but I never have a hard time looking for parking out front. Service is fast and fries are great for service that fast.

You can never go wrong with Mr Beef. The Italian combo is so good, and you want to eat every damn bite, so it’s almost impossible to eat the whole bag of double fried fries, too! And free parking!!
We visited Chicago and found this gem by happenstance. We ended up eating lunch here 3 days in a row, and also got some to travel with. Don’t miss your chance to eat here!
