I had a wonderful dinner experience! Twenty-three years ago, we visited for prom, and we didn't fully appreciate the stunning views or the food like we did tonight. The scenery is absolutely beautiful, and the food is delicious. This place is a must-visit for tasty pasta and gorgeous city views. The Lobster Bisque, topped with a delightful pastry, was my favorite dish of the evening. The chef's special spinach salad was fantastic as well. For the main course, I enjoyed the Seafood Manicotti, which was perfectly prepared. Don't forget to leave some room for dessert!
Oh my goodness! This was one of the best experiences I've had in a long time! My husband and I visited this restaurant to celebrate our 4th anniversary, and from the moment we checked in, we were greeted with "Happy Anniversary!" We were seated at a fantastic table with a beautiful view. Our waitress was incredible and had such a wonderful attitude! As we left the restaurant, every staff member we passed wished us a great day and encouraged us to come back. The food was absolutely stunning! I would give this place a perfect 10/10 and highly recommend it!
Upon arrival, we were welcomed and seated without delay by a very friendly hostess! The restaurant was bustling with customers. Our waiter, Tony, was incredibly friendly and efficient. Despite managing a table of 12, he ensured our experience, along with that of other tables, was fantastic! The veal parmesan was absolutely heavenly, and the Charleston chicken was bursting with flavor! Unfortunately, I learned they're closing soon, so we felt compelled to visit before they did. We will certainly miss Al's Upstairs! Service: Dine in.
I took my husband out to celebrate his birthday at this restaurant. They have a convenient online reservation system. The venue is a bit small, but it's really cozy. When we arrived, nobody greeted us, and the waitstaff seemed a bit overwhelmed. The food was quite good; I ordered the risotto, which was a bit salty, but the other dishes we tried were excellent. Overall, we had a lovely time. Just a heads up, you'll need to dress up for this place. The restrooms are clean and separate for women and men.

Wow! This hole in the wall place is so delicious. It's upscale dining with a beautiful view. We had appetizers, drinks, entrees, and desert. We all shared everything and between the 4 of us and there wasn't a bad dish around. If you're looking for a special place with your significant other or you want to hang out and enjoy a meal with your favorite people, this is the place.
Excellent food and service. Just happen to be driving through town and found them on Google. Very glad we did. Todd was courteous and professional and made the overall experience great. The food is very tasty and worth checking out. Plus the view from our table is nice. An excellent venue for an romantic dinner, esp if you live locally.
Another Columbia favorite. If we lived here, we would come all the time. Creative and sophisticated menu with a nod to regional fare. Nice wine list. One of the best dining experiences in Columbia. Make reservations in advance. We love sharing our Valentines Day at Al?s every year! Lobster bisque is delicious!
