the old linz is a nice restaurant with a very clear menu. the ambiente cozy, leather chair and couch, the service fast and friendly. eating was excellent and more than sufficient. the meat well seasoned and the bratkartoffeln super delicious. also salat and dressing, very good. we only searched the restaurant to strengthen us. it was already a coffee time, but at this time there was also warm eating. we were there twice in our holiday - the second time a mistake. at the first occasion (on a Monday) we were pampered with an excellent curry sausage and a fast service from a helpful waiter and a very good cook (younger kerl with horsetail) who produced a great dish with food and an excellent salad. the second time (one Wednesday) the waiter rushed around and was unorganized. it took 30 minutes to receive our order, and then 1 hour and 16 minutes until the food came - another cook and really average eating that I could produce at home. no pre-warning and no apologies for the late service. the spazli was very bad - I had better fresh from lidl. disappointed after a great first visit.

linz is a wonderful old German city with many shops and caffes in which they can spend their time. there is a fabulous glass museum where you can buy glass pieces made on the ground.

beautiful shopping street with department stores, many restaurants and cozy caffes. it really is worth not forgetting the glass museum... and their bank card!
