We dropped into this restaurant for lunch and a break from roaming the surrounding vineyards. It is located high on a hill above Dernau, has a lovely, shaded terrace overlooking the surrounding hills and vineyards. Features local wines and beers and a varied, but decidedly German, menu. Food was well prepared and delicious, and a bargain! We had Bradwurst, Flamkucken, potatoe salad, sausage plate and saurkraut between the three of us, stretched the meal to two hours to enjoy the views and nice weather.
On a hot day, there was nothing better to do than sit under the cool foliage covering the patio. Overlooking the velvety wine terraces, we pleasantly whiled away our time enjoying some coffee/tea & cake. We were not rushed & servers were very friendly. The local wine walks are nearby so no need to worry about potential extra pounds creeping around the waist.
Beautiful ambience, not only in the beer garden, also in the bright winter garden. Despite the high number of visitors on Monday afternoon, the girls were friendly and fleeeing. The in-house Blanc the Noir was good and the bread time was really great for the price. A pleasant surprise against the Touri-Nepp elsewhere
This restaurant has a beautiful terrace on a hill alongside the wine hiking road. Under a tree with a view on the valley it is a vary enjoyable place to have lunch. Cuisine is brauhaus German, not refined but good quality. The environment makes it very worthwhile a detour. Réservez une table maintenant
