A reliquie from the good, old time, which already appears so pleasantly built with the outside of the Alps on the busy road near the new Walter von Cronberg Platz and the Collosseo in 1999. Amazingly, even a few parking spaces were free in front of the house. Time stopped inside. Cosy cheeky furniture like Grandma. Many watches, none of which shows the right time. Maybe too much Tik Tak would be. In time, only the well-known radio station from Frankfurt is. Numerous Grand Ouvert documents testify that many Skat was played here (which unfortunately dies with this generation). This is a superb tavern that we visited while wandering around the eclectic Sachsenhausen district and what a great find. This tavern is outstanding,the interior is awesome,it's so nice with great decor and furnishings with plenty of bric a brac adorning the walls including old hunting rifles,beer enamels,superb features spread throughout this tavern and a very cool serving bar,there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this tavern,it's a fine establishment and one I am so glad we found. We were here on a Saturday afternoon and this place was busy,as we had just ate we were only here for drinks and we opted to have a drink famous throughout Frankfurt and Sachsenhausen in particular...
First of all, the decor is super cute, full of family photos, knick knacks, and 80s pin-up posters. It feels like you're with grandma, except for the pin-up. Second, the service is incredibly attentive. The owner is too adorable, and if she's in the right mood she'll throw in a shot of schnapps in the end and reveal the recipe of her home made spice mix. Lastly, the food is delicious and plentiful. Traditional German fare, but without a tourist atmosphere. It feels like the food local Frankfurters ate in the eighties. Highly recommend the house soup. Staying in Frankfurt for one night and stumbled across this place. Lovely friendly women. I speak a little German so was ploughing through the menu and she indicated 'leave it to her ' So we did and wow. A giant basin of home made ministrone soup appeared, really tasty. Then the meat platter arrived with, well, everything. We polihsed that off nicely with a bottle of red wine. Charming place with great food, super service and all for £70. Whats not to like.!
Excellent food from exceptionally warm people. Chef Lenchen always prepares delicious dishes. For our group we always get several large plates so that everyone can use them as desired. In each season there is a matching menu, especially delicious is your goose around the Christmas season. 100% recommendation.

Original Frankfurt restaurant/ pub. The owners work in the shop themselves and are very warm. You can only drink there, but you can also eat something. Everything is self-made, there is no big menu.
