While I stayed in Grünwald, I decided to eat lunch after a walk at the local shops in the "Alter Wirt". A great place for lunch with many indoor and outdoor seats, which this day is complemented by the beautiful autumn coloring of leaves in the trees on the outdoor tables. Service was relaxed, what my mood matched the day. The waiter brought both a menu and a chalkboard with the specials of the day. I was surprised to see that the specials overcounted the nets listed in the menu. I often come to Gruenwald to visit my family there and always look forward to eating at the age of Wirt. This visit came with my husband on his first trip to Germany. We had a great dinner with Alter Wirt, and later in the week my mother held her birthday party in a private room there. The staff is professional, personable scream after Tiffany! The menu options are local and in the season. Excellent wine selection. It'll be back. I never had the pleasure of staying at the hotel, but other friends / relatives have, and they give Alter Wirt accommodation high brands.
A wonderful Option to be close to nature and a bit away but still well connected to the city. The room are cozy and the entire atmosphere of the hotel makes you feel at home. The hotel's staff is very kind and helpful. This is definitely a great option for families and couples who want to support the concept of Bio-Hotels at a good price for money.
Beautiful hotel! Rooms are clean and have a very nice interiors. Really enjoyed the decor of the room, such as the colourful mosaic bathroom floor. The restaurant has a good atmosphere and the open kitchen makes it possible to see how the chefs are preparing your meal. I would defenitely recommend this hotel!
