If you are looking for an "out of this world" experience and you appreciate amazing food and ambiance, look no further!! This little Gem is tucked away in the most unassuming suburbs of this little touristy town. What awaits you is a lovely smile from Chrissy ( the owners daughter) and a warm Welcome from Mr and Mrs Zwick (the Owners and Chef de Cuisine of Ambiente). The ambience lies next to a supermarket and drinks market in Oberstaufen. Here you do not suspect a place with high demands. Even when entering the local ambience, the ambience is noticeable. Colorful mixed, without direction, from the Oriental lighter and a large mirror to the picture from the little boy with a cow from the almob drive. The host stops in April and retires. At the moment there is a farewell menu and the restaurant is fully booked. The decor is very nice everything is clean. The tables are covered. The food came relatively fast and was of very good quality. What really bothers me is the open kitchen. The smells are distributed throughout the restaurant and the sounds from the kitchen are disturbing. The host seemed very stressed and tense, no smile was visible. The service was very friendly and also very stressed.
This Restaurant is amazing. If you are in this region and you like fine dining...this is your place!! Not too stuffy ... very romantic and ideal for a special occasion. I have been there many times and this is definitely not a family Restaurant. But if you are looking to have a sophisticated dining experience with someone special or a business dinner...this is perfect!
