Ambrosini's Restaurant

Yes, not in the city but in Norwood. And why not? Nice smiling welcome, plenty of space between tables and enough table space when we juggled things around. White linen table cloths (nice). Big place, much bigger than you would guess from the street. Adequate (all bases covered) Northern Italian(ish) menu (excellent), similarly the wine list was not huge (reduces selection time) but plenty of choice and even a Montepulciano (now I've criticized Jamie's for their local stance in all but wine but this time I though why not) and it suited the food well, as Italian wine does, and was yummy (a new technical wine term). I had soup (with rolls and fresh butter) and the duck special - bellissimo. Yes, we'll be back.

We discovered this restaurant last month and the food was beautiful so we thought we would try again and we were not disappointed. This would be arguably the best Italian in Adelaide. The service is sensational and they cater to all requests nothing is a problem. Their menu is full of choice, we had the oysters florentine and the cured beef for entree and we shared the fish of the day barramundi and it was so moist and the sauce was gorgeous. We then shared the Veal and this would be the highlight on the menu. The veal was tender and the sauce was absolutely beautiful. We could not fault this restaraunt it was sensational. Thanks for a lovely evening.

After living in Adelaide for 30 years I finally discovered Ambrosini's restaurant . Oh what a find! The food, ambience and attention to detail were fantastic. The waiters and waitresses were very efficient and knowledgable. We had a shared entree and a main which consisted of the very best quality veal and gnocci which was homemade. I was fascinated to learn of the family's history and dedication to this restaurant over many years. There is still a family son working as a chef there to carry on the great name they have made for themselves. Well done guys. You are now my favorite italian restaurant in Adelaide. Ill be back and often!

Had a beautiful duck risotto for my main after a dozen beautiful coffin bay oysters for entree. My wife loved her soup entree and veal main dish.Paul and staff were great on the floor and Chef Remo and son Matthew are a formidable team.Byo was ok even though they had a great wine list.Good old fashioned Italian food where you always get quality.

It just doesn't change, consistently fantastic northern Italian food. Run by a lovely family with a serious "care factor". Really good menu Really good wine list Service is sensational Nothing disappoints Stand out is the brains. Highly recommended
