We've visited this restaurant on several occasions before, but this time I was disappointed with the service. The waiter seemed disengaged and uninterested in his job. After finishing our meal and settling the bill, I reviewed my account the following day and was shocked to discover an extra charge. I was on the lookout for a lunch spot and came across the American Cafe, located within a store. They have an extensive menu filled with various Latin specialties. I asked the owner for a recommendation, and he described the burgers in detail. I decided to try the Buffalo Style Burger, which came with salad, buffalo sauce, and blue cheese. My wife opted for the Fried Egg Burger, topped with salad, tomatoes, bacon, and cheddar. Both burgers were excellent. If you find yourself in Glen Cove at lunchtime, I highly recommend checking out the American Cafe!
This is a great spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I've been there multiple times and have always enjoyed my meals. You can also just go for appetizers. The place is small but cozy. They offer some fantastic dishes that set them apart from most restaurants. The atmosphere is very casual, and the staff is friendly and attentive. It feels almost like dining at home.
The food was delicious, the service wasexcellent, and the ambiance was quite pleasant! I would definitely return!
