Today was my first day visiting this restaurant. I don't like to be a difficult customer, but something funny happened during my visit. The cashier, a sweet lady with blonde hair, took my order over the phone. I told her what I wanted, but she gave me the opposite. I didn't want to complain, as I prefer not to make a fuss. However, things took a turn when she dropped the tweezers on the floor and proceeded to clean them on her jeans right in front of me. It was too early for me to start complaining, so I decided to leave. But then, just 5 minutes later, she called me and said I had forgotten my coffee. Really loved everything about this place except that there are no dine-in seats available at that lovely counter in the back. There IS a veterans memorial park right outside where we were able to enjoy our meals. And our meals? The pork, rice, beans, and yucca lunch special for $11 was a huge portion and unbelievably tasty! The staff was friendly and patient and took the time to introduce us to new food and drink. We'll be back!
I ordered two Cuban sandwiches. The flavors were good, but the quality of the bread was not great and one of the sandwiches was cold. The order took over fifteen minutes to be prepared, even though there were no other customers in the restaurant. Considering the price of almost $10 per sandwich, I expected better quality.
Drove 15 mins out of my way to eat ropa Vieja since other spots don't make it every day they did not have black beans, they put 3 lil maduritos and the food was tasteless, with no seasoning very bland will not be returning. Very pricy for white rice maduritos n ropa Réservez une table maintenant
