What a bad service and attitude! I ordered two kebabs and was told that it would take 10mins, I could see that they were busy as they had 6 people working behind the counter. No problem as I had to get cash from the cash machine across the road. Which you would have thought that in this day and age they should be accepting card payments! I returned 10mins later and food was not ready so I sat down and waited and waited. After 5mins I asked one of the guys, which there was only 3 behind the counter now, where is my food. Ordered two kebab wraps and some sundries through Uber eats. When delivered one of the kebab wraps was missing so I telephoned Anatolia and explained the situation to someone there. I was then put through to someone who I was introduced to as Ali who proceeded to call me a thief, a liar and a joker and said that everything had been delivered. As it was clear that Anatolia had no interest in resolving the matter I said I would take it up through Uber Eats, to which Ali replied that even if I got a refund through them he did not lose any money so did not care. I went to Anatolia tonight for takeaway for dinner, once we ordered we was told a 20 minute wait which we didn’t mind as you could see they was busy. We ended up waiting 40 minutes outside for our food. Got home, was all eating, food tasted nice no complaints about that. I ordered the chicken donner wrap as they had sold out of lamb donner which I normally order but was happy to try the chicken donner. I was about half way through my wrap when I felt a hard crunch, I spat it out to notice it was a large bit of bone.. I will never ever use this place again. Absolute rubbish I received tonight (delivery). Have used this place many times and feel they’ve gone right down hill lately/over time. I ordered a chicken shish with lamb donna and bulgur rice which I’ve ordered before and you get the rice in a separate tub always? Whoever served this up just through everything together rice and all???!! I mean why would you do that!!? Obviously couldn’t give a flying s**t about delivery quality/presentation. Dont normally order from here mid-week but usually all good. However, tonight the small doner kebab turned up without any salad despite being asked. The chicken shish kebab looked as though it had been thrown together and there was very little chicken and mostly onion as the salad. we asked for two lots of chips and only received one. They were very busy as probably due to Ashford Christmas event.
Good a take away from here . 2 mixed grill at £10.50 each. When I asked why they charged me £22.20 I was told we charge for sauces. I never understand that about some takeaway places , the sauce is part of the meal and cost them next to nothing to make it and yet they charge 25p per very pot of sauce. Oh well back to Golden grill where nothing is too much trouble or extra charges for sauces.
Eaten from here lots of times because the food is generally good. The only negative is if you go with the large lamb shish you never get the same amount of meat as you do when it’s chicken. Obviously because it dearer to buy in. But don’t I pay more for the lamb?! Bit annoying! And also very tight on the salad. I mean really tight!! Probably going to start ordering from elsewhere now!
