Ancora Cucina Italiana

This is a very quaint neighborhood restaurant in Tarzana… You feel like you are eating in someone’s home. I was surprised to not see it not so busy on a Saturday night, but maybe that’s because there’s no outdoor dining? I had the spaghetti Pomodoro and it was delicious! Not too much sauce and very flavorful. We also shared a Caesar salad which was very fresh and not too heavily dressed… I highly recommend for some good Italian cuisine with fair prices.!!

I have been going to Ancora since it first opened as La Finestra in around 2000. The owners are true restaurant professionals, and serve guests with gusto. The food there is really good, and the service is typically very effective. Go there and you will know why the same people have been going there for dinner for two decades, of good eating, at a fair price.

Fabulous Italian restaurant that walks the line between formal and casual. Great takes on common pasta dishes and salads. Good wine and beer list. Still a great restaurant with great staff. But skip the pizza. Get pasta at Anchor and any attachments without reading or saving get pizza at a pizza shop.

we have been going to ancora for many years and always enjoy it. probably due to pandemic problems, the service is very slow as they are understaffed. hopefully they are working to improve this, as those who are very nice. Réservez une table maintenant

The food is consistently delicious, fresh, and abundant! We ordered the shrimp and lobster dish with pasta. The sauce on the pasta was excellent, and we savored every last drop.

the food and the service were good, but our meal arrived waaaay after our order. the place was far from the crowd and I must conclude that they were handed over in the kitchen.

One of our favorite places always large portions and very good. Have never had a bad experience or meal. Go to place for a good Italian dinner. Gem in the neighborhood
