The restaurant is in the middle of Spicy Ally, a new precinct with many South East Asian fast food outlets.The food was good but not anything out of the ordinary. We shared the arancini balls, my favourite of the lot, meatballs and 2 pizzas.We weren't told what was on the blackboard menu and the service was ok.We were sitting having a coffee after dinner and it was a cold night with a very cold breeze, our table was in a section that was protected from the weather by bistro blinds. We were still drinking our coffees when the waiter started rolling up the blinds and we were left sitting in the open with the cold breeze and a very inadequate gas heater.
We dined here on a weekend night. We were early and the service was casual but good. For entree we ordered mussels and calamari. The calamari was the best dish served - fresh and crunchy. The mussels were the size of a small finger nail and tasted burnt with an odd flavour. For mains the tartufi gnocchi was far from soft pillows - it was tough with split sauce - awful. The pollo boscaiola chicken was very rubbery - yuk! You expect an Italian Trattoria to at least get the basics right. The service level dropped with mains served while entree plates were still on the table. Very disappointing and won't bother going back.
After an amazing food experience at the Rhodes restaurant, my friends and I decided to try the 'Andiamo Trattoria' on Kensington St. If you're looking for great Italian in the inner-west, look no further. You won't be disappointed. We typically share, excited to try everything on the menu and I can confidently say there wasn't a dish that we didn't enjoy. Our personal favourites were the Calamari, Spinach & Ricotta Fritters, Polpette, Penne Alla Norma and Mushroom Risotto. There was a great ambiance and the staff we're extremely friendly! We will definitely be back soon.
The worse Italian restaurant I've ever done. Terrible pizza : as if they used the cheapest cheese from supermarket and tomato sauce absolutely acidic.Disgusting mushroom risotto : not melty at all, rice was still hard, no taste at all (even salt was missing), no flavour at all. It was if they made from the prepared rice meal that you buy from supermarket.

Popped in on a Sunday night on the off chance and had an enjoyable meal. Garlic pizza bread slightly dry but tasty. Pasta and risotto dishes we had were yummy as was the Tiramisu dessert. Nice Italian wine, good music in the background, attentive wait staff, overall very enjoyable and tasty meal.
Pizzas here would very divine. The restaurant catered for our work function and we found every aspect to be quite enticing. The scenery, etiquette and food was quite pleasant!!
Overpriced, the pasta was undercooked, sauce tasteless. The only thing that was worse than the food was the service. There are better places by far.
Great venue, delicious food, highly recommended for family or business functions, close CBD and Central train station
