We arrived 5:30 pm and beat the rush snagged one of eight tables inside. The waitresses were very helpful and attentive, in what is a quaintly furnished dining room. Not to fear: they put everything into making simply superb food. We had the Seafood Chowder, 4 Fish Cakes and Lobster Salad Kaiser for our main. Wow. Chowder was packed with seafood and nicely seasoned. Fish cakes came with a Rhubarb Relish that complemented the cakes magnificently (sorry, no pictures, we were hungry! The lobster salad kaiser garden salad was simply outstanding and of a manageable size after the chowder and cakes. One of the best seafood restaurants I have ever been to. You simply gotta eat here.
Everything was so fresh and delicious at a reasonable price and the staffs were so friendly! We ordered a seafood chowder, a crab meat Kaiser sandwich, and a fish cake set every single dish tasted absolutely amazing. There was more seafood than broth in the chowder and the crab meat sandwich was the best I’ve ever had. I’m writing this review 3 days after we visited Doyle’s and my mouth is watering just thinking about the taste of it again. Highly recommend to everyone visiting the area!
Angies is one of those places that if you are from the town it's in everyone swears it's the best food in Newfoundland but if your from out of town the food is just mediocre. I had the bacon cheeseburger and wedges poutine and it wasn't that good tasted like something anyone with a stove and oven could make at home. The prices were not worth it for the food I had and the staff were okay. Overall this place isn't the best and I probably will not be back.
Amazing fresh seafood. Fish and chips is simple but so good We loved chowder and the place in general. Lots of small things about the place to love and enjoy. We were given a tour of how lobsters are caught and kept, there are a few jokes that will get you smile in the store. Bin appetite and enjoy
