I have lived in the area a while now and have always heard such great things about this place, finally decided to try it, and I haven't been this disappointed in quite a while. It cost us almost $200 to feed our family of five. We were there nearly two hours in total and waited what felt like an eternity to get someone's attention. After we finally get our order in we have one plate come out fifteen minutes before the rest and when I got my plate the pasta was hot underneath while my gyro meat laid on top nearly room temperature. In short, one out of five of us actually enjoyed our meal. A forced gratuity on subpar service is very disappointing. I left feeling totally short-changed for what I paid for but I didn't have the heart to take a dump on my family's evening out together by making a big deal of it. My wife and I left quietly agreeing that it was the last time they'd get the opportunity to do it to us again. But the icing on the cake, that was me making my final rounds this evening and finding one of my kids laid asleep in their own puke. The first time was the last time. The only way to make it right is to put our money back in our bank account. We spent entirely too much money on mediocrity.

I made reservations for 5pm on a Tuesday evening after reading here how busy Anna's can get. By the time I left the restaurant was about a third full. What first grabs your attention is the ambiance. I assume the building was an old church. I think there's certainly a missed opportunity here. They seem too eager to liven up the building with bright, neon colors. It just comes off as gaudy, especially the outside with the cheesy font and blue highlights around the doors and windows. I think they should have leaned into a more gothic approach to decorations/furniture. As for the food, I ordered the lamb. It was cooked to medium as requested. Very flavorful and well-seasoned, with a generous portion of lamb chunks. My waiter (who also seemed to double as host) was very attentive and friendly. And the food came out relatively quickly. Overall I had no issues with Anna's, other than the decor.

Anna's is a great place for a special occasion! The atmosphere of the old church is so nice. We have always had consistently good food tonight was no exception! We felt like our portions were larger than they have been in the past (not a complaint! Spinach Chicken gets 5 for sure! Parking: Sometimes, the parking lot will be full but there is usually plenty of street parking or in the library parking lot near by (also free . Service: Dine in

This was a great find for my wife and I on our day trip up from Nashville. The ambiance was amazing, food was fabulous, and waitstaff was wonderful. The most amazing for us both were the Saganaki Cheese appetizer and the warm Baklava dessert, but entrees were great, too. We will plan another trip to Bowling Green as an excuse to eat here again.
