Anthony's Good Food Market

I hate to do this because I have been coming here for years. But tonight was the worst night I have ever had at this restaurant. We had reservations for 8:15 and didn't get seated 8:40 (which it was a busy weekend, first state game/prairie arts festival) . It toons twenty minutes to get a menu and another 20 minutes to get our drinks, then we ordered an appetizer and the wrong thing came out. Finanally at 10 our salads came out by 10:15 we ask that our plates just be put into to-go boxes because we were ready to leave and then we noticed they didn't even add our sides, so we kindly ask them to remove our meals from the ticket and to take it back and they did. I wouldn't know.... We were recommended this place while visiting Starkville for a couple of days.. Not being from around the area, obviously we wouldn't know that Anthony's is apparently by reservation only on the weekends, which is fine, but as we showed up the hostess so rudely informed us that they didn't have room for anyone without a reservation.. I would not have minded this information and made reservations for the following night had this hostess not had such a rude tone and treated us like scum for simply asking how long the wait was. Note to self give business to those who appreciate it. Anthony's obviously has enough business to be rude about their reservation...read more

Great atmosphere, great service and of course great food. Had the Catfish with Crawfish Sauce on my most recent visit (12/27/24) and it was fantastic. Abundant space across several dining rooms and a great place to catch up with old friends over the holidays. Great first impression!. My wife I had had an entirely enjoyable experience here. Service was prompt and not intrusive. The fish and shrimp dishes we had were as fresh and tasty as you could hope for. We'll be coming back! Réservez une table maintenant

I went to Anthony's yesterday with my family after gameday. Thank god, everyone loved their food and the stuffed filet was better than any I've had. Won't be hitting up the veranda ever again, I know that much!

Menu was limited, and food was mediocre, at best. It took 90 minute s from the time we were seated until food was served, and this was on a weekday night. Steaks were pricey, and over cooked.

The food was great. The steak filet with lump crab sauce was awesome! 5:00 was a great time. We didn't have to wait long for our food. The servers did a great job as well!

Very good. good enough for boxes. we had chicken pasta dishes. both were good. our server brought several times brot. it was also delicious.
